M y name is Baxter. I was adopted by my forever family in September of 2005. I had an older (but smaller) brother named Kirby when I first arrived. He and I had lots of fun together.

Baxter passed away on July 9th, 2013. He was a faithful companion and friend to his family and will be missed every day.

The following best describes my feelings on how Baxter will be missed:

Sunlight streams through winow pane
Unto a spot on the floor...
Then I remember,
It's where you used to lie,
But now you are no more.
Our feet walk down a napp of carpet,
And muted echos sound...
Then I remember,
It's where your paws would joyously abound.
A voice is heard along the road,
And up beyond the hill,
Then I remember it can't be yours...
Your golden voice is still.
But I'll take that vacant spot of floor
And empty muted hall
And lay them with the absent voice
And unused disk along the wall.
I'll wrap there treasured memorials
In a blanket of my love
And keep them for my best friend
Until we meet above.

The famous Keeshond smile!

Mama was taking my picture, and I didn't know what that clicking sound was

Checking out my new yard. I think I'm going to like this place :)

Something's got my attention... I'll bet it's food related :)

My brother Kirby and I taking a quick breather during one of our frequent play sessions

Kirby and I have fallen asleep on mom's office floor, he and I are real pals.

Here I am with my mamma. I'm pretty spoiled.

And here I am with dad. He must be boring me!

Chewing on one of my many toys. It looks like I have this one pretty torn up. I do that a lot.

Sitting on my throne... I'm the king of my castle.

I look good from any angle!

Taking time out to make sure all is right in my household.

Something's got my attention. Not much is missed by these sharp keeshond eyes.

Taking (I'm sure) a well earned break!

It's nap time on the couch.

Posing for the camera. Me and all my fur.

Always vigilant and on guard

Sounding the alarm!

Me and my little sister Jazmin. I'm teaching her all about being a Keeshond

That's me and Jazmin again. I like having a little sister.

Looking out over my yard.

Sounding the alarm again. I'm good at making my presence known.

Looking regal as always :-)
